Kate Constable, you have done it again. You know, I was going to wait for news of an American publication of The Taste of Lightning, but it was taking far too long for my tastes. Rather than wait another agonizing minute, I ordered it online and waited for what seemed like an eternity.

Let me tell you, I just got it today; I could not put it down. I read it from cover to cover without a single break inbetween. The Tenth Power had been my favorite book for a while, but reading this, I don't really know anymore. I really can't think of a single thing that I didn't like about it.

My friend will be glad to know that I've finished it, as she asked to borrow it as soon as I told her that I had gotten it. The book was great from the first page. I was immediately into it. The mystery behind Wanion's magic was compelling... I immediately loved Perrin's character. He added a lot of humor to the group and kept things...light. Plus, it was interesting to see more of the Power of Beasts, since it was really limited to Calwyn's one song and Halasaa's silent music before. The technique with the vibrations through the ground was really innovative!

... All in all, I guess I'd just like to say that I love your work. I'd like to thank you for writing such brilliant works, as they've been truly...well, I don't know the word for it. All of your books have just been so wonderful! Thank you, Kate Constable!
